But what happens if the drain valve fails? Even a brief malfunction of 2-3 days can wreak havoc.
4. Undrained moisture leads to:
• Rusting: Pipes and the HP airend coating become susceptible to rust.
• Coating Deterioration: The protective coating on rotors degrades.

A damaged HP airend coating disrupts the critical synchronization between LP and HP stages, causing a chain reaction of problems.
